Crispy Home-Cut French Fries with Rhino Spice Original

Ingredients:

4 large russet potatoes (washed and scrubbed)

2–3 tbsp vegetable oil (for oven or air fryer)

1–2 tsp Rhino Spice Original (adjust to taste)

Optional: Fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Preparation (All Methods):

Cut the Fries: Slice potatoes into ¼-inch sticks for classic fries. Keep thickness consistent.

Soak (Highly Recommended): Place cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes (up to overnight) to remove excess starch. This helps crispiness.

Dry Thoroughly: Drain and pat dry with a clean towel. Moisture causes sogginess.

Oven-Baked Method:

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

Toss fries in oil and 1–2 tsp Rhino Spice Original.

Spread fries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.

Bake 25–35 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

Optional: Sprinkle more Rhino Spice Original after baking if needed.

Deep-Fried Method:

Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).

Fry potatoes in batches (don’t overcrowd) for 2–3 minutes until just pale and soft (par-fry).

Let rest for 10 minutes. Then re-fry at 375°F (190°C) for 2–3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Drain on paper towels and season immediately with Rhino Spice Original.

Air Fryer Method:

Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Toss fries in a light coating of oil and Rhino Spice Original.

Cook in batches for 15–18 minutes, shaking basket halfway through for even cooking.

Optional: Add a finishing pinch of Rhino Spice after cooking.

Tips:

For extra crispiness in oven/air fryer: toss fries in 1 tbsp cornstarch before adding oil and seasoning.

Use Rhino Spice Original as a dry finish if you want a stronger flavor punch.
