My name is Daron Torrens (aka DT/Rhino), founder and President of Rhino Spice Inc. I grew up on a grain farm in Smiley, Saskatchewan, where I learned the value of hard work and perseverance.

After earning my B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 1993, I moved to Alberta. Before I left, my mom asked what I needed, and my response was simple, I wanted a recipe book filled with my favorite meals.

That book sparked my passion for cooking. Over the years, I have surrounded myself with friends who share the same enthusiasm, from professional chefs to fellow home cooks, each contributing to my culinary journey.

The nickname "Rhino" originated from my days on the hockey rink...
